PROSPER in Fayette County

Uniontown-Laurel Highlands

The Laurel Highlands School District and Uniontown Area School District are rural school districts serving a combination of approximately 6,800 students from a total of 10 municipalities of Fayette County, in southwestern Pennsylvania. The PROSPER programs currently offered in cooperation with Laurel Highlands and Uniontown Area School Districts are the Strengthening Families Program: for Parents and Youth 10-14 (SFP 10-14) and Botvin LifeSkills Training. SFP 10-14 is currently held in the evenings at the Uniontown Area YMCA and is available to all Laurel Highlands and Uniontown area families with youth ages 10 to 14. LifeSkills Training is currently being delivered to all students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades at Laurel Highlands Middle School, and all students in the 6th grade attending UASD schools.
